Weston Technology Solutions and Moloney+O’Neill will host a digital privacy seminar that will educate and discuss solutions for the growing liability involved with accessing and handling private information. Speakers will include Mark Smith, CPCU, RPLU from The Swett & Crawford Group and Brock McFarlane, CEO and Founder of Weston Technology Solutions.

Your data is critical, especially if you store or handle patient or financial data on your network. There is a lot more liability involved with accessing and handling private information and data than there ever was before. No matter which regulation your business may fall under (HIPAA, PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.), how your technology works and is operating is a large part of meeting the requirements and staying in compliance.

Come join us at this free, informative seminar where we will discuss and provide solutions for some of the most common risks and liabilities in regulated industries and talk about the ways technology can help protect yourself, your clients and your business. Refreshments will be provided and attendees may have a chance to win some door prizes.

Space is Limited so RSVP today!

About the Speakers:

Brock McFarlane, CEO and Founder of Weston Technology Solutions: Brock is founding owner and President of Weston Technology Solutions. Since starting the company in 1994, he has focused on Weston partnering with its clients to solve their technology frustrations. As the company has grown, he has transitioned from a purely technical role to developing the strategic and sales aspects of Weston. When he is not focusing on Weston, Brock enjoys camping with his family. He has a beautiful wife and four great kids that keep him challenged and rewarded. In 2002, the McFarlane family moved from Anchorage to Bend to be closer to family and to start the first branch office. Brock graduated from Oregon State University with a major in Business – Management Information Systems. He is an active member of his church and is developing ways to allow his business endeavors to be used to help provide hope for others.

Mark A. Smith, CPCU, RPLU, Swett & Crawford Group: After over three decades of insurance underwriting and wholesaling experience, Mark has been tagged by many Northwest agents as their “go to” broker for professional liability. Mark has assisted retail brokers with placements on such varied risks as trendy start-up social media firms, far flung air-ambulance operators, imploding banks, troubled investment advisors, claims bitten geo-tech engineers to the now “hot” insurance product, cyber liability. IPO. Mark takes seriously his position as an industry educator and resource for cutting edge issues such as cyber liability, leading Swett & Crawford’s Cyber Liability Practice Group and on behalf of retail agencies and industry groups through his professionally focused cyber education classes.  Mark says it’s well worth the long commute to call beautiful Whidbey Island his family home which he shares with Reggie and Moose, his Labrador Retrievers.
