As we mentioned earlier this year, it’s our 20th Anniversary this year. We also mentioned that we had a goal this year of raising at least $20,000 for local charities. And now we want to move forward to see how much of that we can raise before the end of the year for Bend Area Habitat for Humanity. Read on to learn more about their upcoming campaign and why we are supporting Habitat for Humanity.
Weston Technology Solutions has partnered with Bend Area Habitat for Humanity for years through volunteer build days and cash donations. Habitat provides much-needed affordable homeownership and home improvement services to low income families and individuals in our community. This year, we want to take it to the next level and donate toward their Renewing the ReStore Capital Campaign and we hope you will join us.
The ReStore is Bend Area Habitat’s Home Improvement Center, selling used and surplus building materials, appliances and furniture. All proceeds from the ReStore benefit Bend Area Habitat and the families they serve. The ReStore is moving to a new location in Bend, and needs funds to develop the land and existing buildings on-site into a viable space for years to come to continue to serve area families.
Weston would like to help the Renew the ReStore, and we challenge you to help as well. For every dollar you contribute to the campaign, Weston will match it, up to $5,000. All told, the goal is to raise $10,000 towards the campaign and to future Habitat operations. When you donate online or send a check to Habitat, make sure to mention “Weston Tech Match” in the comments or memo field, and the folks at Habitat will let us know when donations come in.
Thanks for helping us with this, and thanks for your support over the last 20 years. It has allowed us to be true to our core purpose – “To Better the Lives of Others” – and contribute financially and physically to organizations like this. In the last three and a half years alone, Weston has contributed nearly $50,000 and countless hours of time to these great organizations that do wonderful things for the communities they serve. It’s because of you that we are able to do this and to Better the Lives of Others.
