Ronald McDonald House of Central Oregon is holding their first annual Striped Sock Walk. Weston is proud sponsor of this event and is hoping you’ll join the Weston fundraising team and help us be a top fundraiser for them and help them reach their fundraising goal before the event starts on November 7. Read on for more information on the event and the wonderful work that Ronald McDonald House does and how you can help!
We support The Ronald McDonald House of Central Oregon because we know they are helping to keep families together when they need it most. They open their doors to families facing pediatric medical crisis 365 days each year, whenever their services are needed, for as long as they are needed, at no cost to the family. Their “home away from home” provides overnight lodging and home amenities to families who must travel to Bend seeking medical care for their ill or injured child and high-risk bed-resting mothers.
Their first annual Striped Sock Walk and fun run will begin and end at the Bend Ronald McDonald House at 1700 NE Purcell Blvd in Bend. If you’d like to walk the event, you have the option of 1.3 miles (one loop) or 2.6 miles (two loops). The Fun Run is the longer two loop, 2.6 miles. The course loops around the St. Charles Medical Center Campus in Bend. We hope you can walk/run with us in person, but if you cannot make it, you can register as a “Virtual Walker” to help them reach their goals.
