Non Profit Spotlight: Hospice of Redmond

We recently started a feature in our newsletter focused on how we truly take our core purpose – “To Better the Lives of Others” – seriously, and the impact some of those organizations we support are making. We’ve featured two great organizations already, Convoy of Hope and Kid’s Lab. This month, we’d like to feature a local program that is celebrating their 40th-Annual big fund raiser, Hospice of Redmond.

Hospice Of Redmond – Redmond, Oregon

Core Purpose: The hospice team has made a difference in the lives of patients and families facing a terminal illness by assisting them with their own unique physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Their clinical staff uses various methods of symptom management and pain control creating a holistic approach that allows the patient to remain as active and in control of their lives as possible. They have a dedicated team working on behalf of the patient and their family including physicians, registered nurses, social workers, and hospice aides, along with spiritual and bereavement counselors.

Fund Raising: This year, Hospice of Redmond is hosting its 40th Annual Festival of Trees. This event raises funds supporting hospice patients, transitions clients living with life limiting illness, and bereavement programs for our younger generations such as Camp Sunrise. Festival of Trees is their main fundraising event and the proceeds go towards Hospice of Redmond. Hospice of Redmond is a nonprofit that provides support and care for people throughout Central Oregon.

Of course, the event will not be successful if it is not well attended! Here is a link to the page with information about the event on Dec. 2nd. There is a free family fun “tree preview” event during the daytime, and an auction/Gala starting at 5 pm that day. Tickets are on sale for the Gala by clicking here. They would love to see as many people as possible attend this year’s festival!

The team at Hospice wanted to make sure we passed this along:

“One of the most important things I’d like to note is that it is not too late to sign up to decorate a tree, and it is not too late if anyone is interested in donating to our raffle prizes, nor is it too late to partner with us as a sponsor. Our hope is that we will have 40 trees to auction off this year, and we are not quite there yet. If you know anyone interested in decorating a tree, please send them my way and I can share some more about what that entails.”
