There are currently 10 Microsoft programs or services that have “Outlook” in their name. The two “Outlook for Windows” programs is confusing things further. We’re all about combining the feature set and code base of all these things, but this is getting ridiculous.
- Microsoft Office is now Microsoft 365.
- Microsoft Designer is coming soon. Not really much out there as to what it actually does, since nobody’s used it yet (you can sign up to be on the waiting list on their website).
- Microsoft Teams Premium is coming next year and will include AI-based recap, live translation, and more privacy/compliance features.
- There are a lot of buzzwords in this article, but it sounds like Microsoft Places is coming at some point and will be useful for companies that have a hybrid/remote mix of employees to better optimize costs and space usage.
