If you’ve ever worked in massive spreadsheets, we’ve already mentioned a couple features – watch window and the navigation pane – which make navigating a pile of rows and columns much easier. If you use your mouse scroll wheel or the scrollbars to scroll through worksheets, you’ll know that sometimes things jump around depending on the size and spacing of the columns and rows. Basically, Excel would snap to the grid created by the various cells, which would make for some weird navigational jumps.
Microsoft has introduced smooth scrolling to Excel to make things easier to navigate. Here you can see it in action:
While you would think this would be a simple few lines of code that needed to be changed, it was actually quite involved to get it to work right. But this should help you navigate around spreadsheets without things spazzing out on you.
