
We announced a couple months ago that Microsoft is going to require computer manufacturers to bundle only Windows 10 with computers after September, making Windows 7 all but unavailable. Dell has recently announced that they’re going to extend a downgrade option to Windows 7 or 8.1 Professional edition for another year, but are going to charge an additional fee for it (likely via a Microsoft volume license agreement of some sort). They also have firmed up the date: They’ll kick this in after October 31, 2016.
